Overview
EV Calc ("the App") is a simple utility for calculating electric vehicle charging times and charge gain. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
The short version: the App does not collect any personal data. All functionality runs entirely within your browser or device. Nothing is sent to any server.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any information. The App does not gather, transmit, or store any data on our end.
The only data the App ever saves is your battery capacity (kWh), which you optionally enter during setup. This value is stored using your browser's localStorage — a standard web feature that keeps data on your own device, never on a server.

Local Storage
To avoid you re-entering your battery capacity every time you open the App, we save that single value to your device's local storage. This works entirely offline and is never transmitted anywhere.
You are in full control. You can clear this data at any time by using your browser or device's "Clear site data" option, or simply by tapping the edit button within the App and removing your saved value.
Third-Party Services
The App loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to download the typefaces used in the App. Google may log this request as part of their standard infrastructure. We have no control over Google's data practices — you can review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Other than Google Fonts, the App uses no third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs.
No advertising. The App currently contains no advertisements and no advertising SDKs. If this changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated and users will be notified via an app update.
Cookies
The App does not use cookies. The only browser storage mechanism used is localStorage, which is functionally distinct from cookies and is not transmitted with network requests.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected at all, the App is safe for use by all ages.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and other applicable privacy laws, you have rights regarding your personal data. Because we do not collect or process any personal data, most of these rights are not applicable in practice. However:
Right to erasure: To delete the only data the App stores (your battery capacity), simply clear your browser or app's local storage, or update it within the App itself.
Right to access: The only data stored is visible to you directly within the App — there is nothing held server-side to request.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy — for example, if advertising or analytics are introduced in a future version — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and release an updated version of the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
